Audiobook

  • Which reading app should I use?

No reading application is necessary. The audiobooks are accessed by a link provided by your e-lending platform, and streamed directly into your Web browser.

  • Which device should I use?

You can listen to audiobooks on any device (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.) that supports the latest versions of Web browsers such as Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Opera or Edge. Please note that this excludes dedicated ebook readers such as Kobo or Amazon Kindle, on which the service isn’t available.

  • Do I have to connect using my Adobe account?

No. Streaming audiobooks doesn’t require you to explicitly download DRM-protected files. Therefore you don’t need an Adobe account.

  • Ai-je besoin d’une connexion Internet?

Do I need an Internet connection?

  • Does the reader remember my position in the book?

Yes, as long as you’re listening using the same browser, on the same device (your position is not synchronized across devices).

  • Can I return an audiobook before the end of the lending period? How do I do that?

Yes, an audiobook can be returned directly from the reader. Just click or tap on the icon located at the top right of the screen, then on Return your book.

  • How long is the lending period for a borrowed audiobook?

The duration of the lending period, for audiobooks as well as for ebooks, is determined by your library, so it may very well vary from one institution to another. The amount of time left on your loan is displayed at the top section of the reader’s main screen.
