Creating an Adobe ID

  1. Go to Adobe sign-in page.

  2. Click Get an Adobe ID

  3. Fill in the form and write down the email address and the password you chose. Check the box "I have read and agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy", then click Sign up.

Your Adobe ID is the email address you used in the form. Don't forget to write it down, along with the password you chose: you will need this information to configure the software and devices you will be using to read ebooks.

Installing Bluefire Reader (Kindle Fire)

To read Peace Library System ebooks on a Kindle Fire tablet, we recommend the Bluefire Reader app. Because this app is not available in the appstore, you must follow the procedure below to install it.

  1. From your tablet's startup screen, go to Applications and click Settings.

  2. Choose the Applications tab.

  3. Make sure that the Applications From Unknown Sources option is activated, as seen in the example below. Click OK to confirm that you want to activate this option.

  4. Open the Silk browser and go to the following address to download the Bluefire installation file: http://www.bluefirereader.com/files/BluefireReader.apk

  5. When the download is complete, click on the Menu button at the bottom center of the browser and tap Download.

  6. Tap on the BluefireReader.apk file, and then on the Install button in the lower right corner to start the Bluefire Reader installation.

  7. When the installation is complete, press Open in the lower right corner to start the application.

  8. When the app opens, type in your Adobe ID and the password you chose when you created your Adobe ID, then tap Authorize.

Your device is now set up to read ebooks. You will not have to redo the previous steps.

Checking out and opening a book in Bluefire Reader (Android, Kobo Arc & Kindle Fire)

  1. In your device's Internet browser, find the book you want to borrow on Peace Library System.

  2. In the results page or in the book's details page , click Borrow.

  3. On the loan confirmation page, click Download. You may also download this ebook by following the link that was sent to you by email.

    You have 24 hours to download the borrowed ebook. Downloading it on multiple devices is possible, as long as they are all authorized with the same Adobe ID.

  4. In the "Complete action using" window, click Download to Bluefire Reader.

  5. The book will open in Bluefire Reader. To read it immediately, choose Read Now.
